Today there are many different products and solutions on the market which can help you manage you battery fleet to make sure that you get the best possible performance and lifetime.
A key product in our portfolio is EnerSys Wi-IQ which we have been using on the Thai market for more than 5 years. It's an excellent tool to follow up on the usage of the batteries. Especially if you have a rental fleet this could be a very important toll to make sure that the batteries are not abused.
We also use it to follow up at customer sites to e.g. assess if the battery fleet is to big or too small.
Battery Fleet Management Products & Systems
If you have a big fleet it could be a very wise idea to invest in EnerSys queuing system. One of the main challenges when you have a bigger fleet is to make sure that all batteries are evenly used, to avoid that some of them are over used and some hardly being used at all. Through the Wi-IQ data we can collect data to assess e.g. how even the battery use is and our experience shows that the use can vary by a factor of 3-4, i.e. some batteries are used 3-4 times more often than others. Of course this is not good for the batteries.
This issue can be handled either through a manual queuing system or by using BSi40, which e.g. Linfox Unilever in Thailand are doing.
