Lithium batteries are generating a lot of interest, and we carry three different brands to meet the needs and budgets of our customers in the best possible way. Lithium batteries are very well suited for certain applications and users. For many a traditional lead-acid battery might still be a better and more economical solution - so before offering any lithium based solution we will do a thorough assessment. Important factors are e.g.:
Does the operation allow for opportunity charging?
How much usage time vs charging time?
Is there power supply enough to enable the fast charging often required to avoid battery changing?
Is there space to the park the equipment while charging?
Lifetime of equipment versus batteries - does it make sense to invest in lithium batteries?
Our general experience is that lithium batteries are a very good option at sites currently using fast charging. Here we will get smoother operation, quicker charging and maybe even lower costs without a huge investment in e.g. power supply. For customers with light operation opportunity charging can be done a lot cheaper with traditional lead-acid batteries and for users with heavy operations (e.g. 3-shift 3PLs) it's often difficult to find enough charging time without totally changing the operation and a major investment in power supply is often required.

EasyPower works as a stand-alone part for retrofit use but for many forklift brands it works as an integrated part through its CAN-based communi-cation interface.
For vehicles in material handling, the system can be built in different ways depending on the application. For medium-sized vehicles, the system can be built with the standard BRIX modules. They handle most applications even in strong cold thanks to the unique heating solution that is optional. The modules are built in the same way as lead-acid battery cells and our customers are often experienced battery builders or skilled industrial companies.
For industrial vehicles with high demands on temperature range, power, operating hours or integration, the system can be customized with the thermal and structural systems required. With short integration times,
LIONBRIX can also be used for energy storage in e.g. solar or wind appliactions, for backup in tele-com or buildings etc. The BRIX modules allows for very flexible solutions.
